"That is the part that has amazed me most.

It's like the other guys are more wound up and nervous than Fery is, even today," McEnroe said.

Former British number one Tim Henman commended Fery's mental fortitude and tactical execution under the expectations of the home crowd.

"What I've been so impressed with is Fery's belief," Henman said.

Henman analyzed the specific tennis attributes that allowed the wildcard entry to succeed on Centre Court.

"When you go out on Centre Court for the first time and you are a British player, you have the hopes and expectations of a lot of people on your shoulders," Henman said.

The former player highlighted Fery's physical movement and tactical intelligence during the tight opening sets.

"He has good tennis IQ, he is a phenomenal mover. The way he has handled the occasion is impeccable.

When opportunities have been earned, he has taken them," Henman said.

Henman concluded that defeating a recent Grand Slam finalist would significantly boost the wildcard's confidence for the remainder of the tournament.

"For him to produce a performance like that against a Grand Slam finalist, given that the first two sets were so tight and such high quality, it was absolutely sensational," Henman said.

The analyst reiterated that the victory would solidify Fery's confidence moving forward.

"It will just go even further to enhance his inner belief that he can keep winning in this tournament," Henman said.

Semifinal Showdown with Zverev

Seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion Jamie Murray discussed the upcoming semifinal match against world number three Alexander Zverev.

"Fery will have the unknown factor against Zverev. He needs to use that to his advantage," Murray said.

Murray noted that video preparation cannot fully replicate the experience of facing an unfamiliar opponent on the court.

"I'm sure Zverev will have seen him play a bit this week, but it is different to actually being on the court and facing him," Murray said.

The doubles specialist explained that Zverev would face unique challenges adapting to Fery's specific playing style.

"He won't know how the ball comes off the racquet or the different problems that he possesses," Murray said.
