Industrial leaders emphasize that the window for additional partner nations to join the core development program is rapidly closing to prevent schedule disruptions.

While maintaining schedule discipline remains critical, consortium leaders acknowledge the strategic tradeoffs involved when considering new international members.
"Then, to be really honest, one should think if there is a point in losing some time now to reach a more stable and more healthy consortium, and then maybe gain time in the second part of the development," Mariani said.
Mariani pointed to expanding international interest as a positive sign for the initiative's long-term momentum.
"An additional observer has been added with Canada, who has requested to be part of the programme, and for the moment will be an observer.
That is a very good sign for the follow-on of the programme," he said.
Parallel to Canada's observer role, Singapore has engaged in early exploratory talks to evaluate potential ties to the trilateral project, while Saudi Arabia has previously expressed interest in joining.
Program milestones continue to advance alongside financial progress.
