After 27 years at Mercedes-Benz, designer Wini Camacho has created a BMW roadster concept that reimagines the brand's future.
The Z/Z is a modular electric vehicle designed for both road and track use.

The concept takes the iconic kidney grille as its architectural starting point.
The bodywork appears to extrude from the twin grille form, with a prominent split running through the car's center.
Three Configurations for Versatility
The Z/Z offers three distinct modes.
In Mono mode, only the driver's seat is fixed, with a hatch opening on the bodywork, reminiscent of the Ferrari Monza SP1.
Duo mode reveals a passenger seat, while Sleep mode retracts both seats under the bodywork when parked.
This modular approach allows the roadster to adapt to different driving scenarios.

The electric powertrain enables smooth, uninterrupted bodywork from front to rear. Fully exposed wheels add to the minimalist aesthetic.
Inside, the cabin blends old and new.
Analog dials and controls are spread throughout, including on a two-spoke steering wheel wrapped in bright blue leather.
Occupants wear helmets with integrated displays showing vehicle parameters.
Camacho's design avoids the overly complex styling of many modern BMWs, focusing instead on clean lines and simplicity.

The Z/Z remains a conceptual exercise, not something BMW is likely to produce.
