Tunisia had dismissed Sabri Lamouchi after a heavy 5-1 loss against Sweden and named Renard as their seventh manager since qualification began.
However, the change had minimal impact on the pitch.
Renard had only three days with the squad before the match.

Junya Ito added a third goal in the 69th minute after a flick from Ueda, with Mohamed Amine Ben Salida playing him onside.
Ueda completed the scoring with a clever looping header for his second goal of the match.
