The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired forward Luke Tuch from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for forward Hunter McKown, the team announced Thursday evening.
The trade was announced by Blue Jackets President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Don Waddell.

It involves minor-league players and affects the AHL affiliates of both teams: the Cleveland Monsters and Laval Rocket.
Details of the Trade
Tuch, 24, was originally selected by Montreal in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft. He has not played in an NHL game.
In 114 career AHL games with the Laval Rocket, the 6-foot-2, 219-pound winger recorded 15 goals and 13 assists.
This past season, he had nine goals and 14 points in 68 appearances.

McKown, 23, is an undrafted center from Colorado College. He recorded nine goals and 16 assists for 25 points in 63 games with Cleveland this season.
Over 184 career AHL games, McKown has collected 80 points. He also made 12 NHL appearances for Columbus during the 2022-23 season, recording two assists.
Waddell praised Tuch's physical style.
