Hyundai has unveiled the eighth-generation Avante in South Korea, the model known as the Elantra in North America.
The compact sedan arrives six years after its predecessor, bringing a larger footprint, sharper styling, and a completely reworked interior.

The new Elantra adopts Hyundai's "Art of Steel" design language, giving it a wider, more athletic stance.
Sculpted fenders and split LED headlights with ultra-slim daytime running lights define the front end.
The rear features an H-shaped LED signature, a dual splitter, and a boxy ducktail spoiler. Six new exterior colors and three interior themes are available.
Bigger Dimensions, More Interior Space
The new model measures 4,765 mm (187.6 in) long, 1,855 mm (73 in) wide, and 1,425 mm (56.1 in) tall, with a 2,750 mm (108.3 in) wheelbase.
That's 55 mm longer and 30 mm wider than before, with an additional 30 mm between the axles.
Hyundai says the extra size pushes interior room close to midsize-sedan territory. The cabin takes cues from furniture, with rounded shapes and soft-touch materials.
A 14.6-inch display anchors the dash, with a 12.9-inch screen as a smaller option.
Both run the new Pleos Connect software and the generative AI agent "Gleo AI," which supports natural conversation.
Physical buttons and knobs sit below the touchscreen. A small digital cluster is positioned near the windshield.
