"I can't help but feel this is my fault somehow," said Weaver.

Her husband comforted her, expressing a mix of personal gratitude for the time together and sadness over her injury.

"Selfishly, I’m glad you’re here and I’m glad we get to spend more time together, but like, I’m also heartbroken for you because I know how much you love doing this," said Allman.

During her formal exit meeting, Weaver officially notified the leadership team of her decision to step down.

"This is a hard day but I think I’m going to move on to a new chapter," said Weaver.

She expressed immense appreciation to the directors for trusting her with the coveted position on the squad.

"I’m really excited about it but it’s hard to make that decision.

But, I’m emotional because of how grateful I am, truly, and I owe a lot to you guys because y’all trusted me with this position and this job and it’s been everything and more than I could have imagined.

It’s such a blessing," said Weaver.

Choreographer Judy Trammell supported the choice, noting that Weaver had expanded her professional horizons.

"You’ve had a lot of doors open for you recently, and I think you’re going to do great," said Judy Trammell.

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Director Kelli Finglass instantly echoed the sentiment.

"I agree," said Kelli Finglass.

In a post-retirement interview with Netflix's Tudum, Weaver detailed the pressure of maintaining a perfect public persona.

"Everyone has a right to their opinion, but some opinions are extremely loud and hurtful," said Weaver.
