The Italian manager finalized a financial compensation package to leave Chelsea and return to the Premier League champions.

This marks Maresca's third stint at Manchester City.
He initially joined the club in 2020, leading the Elite Development Squad to the Premier League 2 title in his first season.
The team finished 14 points clear at the top with 17 wins, five draws, and just two defeats.
After a brief period with Parma in Italy, Maresca returned to City in 2022 as one of Guardiola's assistant managers.
He played an integral role in the backroom staff that helped the club secure a historic Treble, the most successful season in City's 132-year history.
Maresca then moved into senior management, taking over Leicester City in the summer.

He led the Foxes to the EFL Championship title and an immediate return to the Premier League in his sole season in the East Midlands.
His most recent managerial role was at Chelsea, where he won the UEFA Conference League and secured Champions League qualification in his first campaign.
He also guided Chelsea to FIFA Club World Cup glory last summer in the United States.
Prior to his departure, Maresca faced structural and internal disagreements with Chelsea's ownership.
Reports from the BBC indicated friction over his work with a young squad, squad rotation pressures, and public grievances rather than internal discussions.
Manchester City highlighted Maresca's historical contributions in an official statement, noting his success with the youth ranks and senior squad.
