Community and Cultural Highlights

Organizers scheduled the Tim Hortons Family Day on Sunday with free admission until 11 a. m.

and a free pancake breakfast at the GMC Stadium Courtyard, aiming to replicate previous high-turnout Family Days which drew 201,260 visitors in 2024 and 182,063 in 2025.

Longtime volunteer Will Irvine, a cattle broker who operates vintage wagon rides that bring international tourists around downtown Calgary, emphasized that the festival firmly reflects regional identity and agriculture.

"We have a team of horses. We’re going with nine wagons, and we go downtown," said Irvine.

Irvine noted that the rides give global tourists an opportunity to experience local ranching roots firsthand.
