The privately-owned Freedom Fuel Network launched discounted gasoline at 25 locations across the greater Philadelphia and South Jersey region on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

The move drew both customer praise and public skepticism amid rising nationwide fuel costs.

Promotional Pricing and White House Response

According to posts by the White House on social media platform X, the network opened its first regional station in Dresher, Montgomery County.

Fuel was offered at $3.47 per gallon to honor Donald Trump as the 47th U. S.

president.

White House officials stated that the administration is not affiliated with the private retailer and is not providing federal subsidies.

The company achieved the lower rates by voluntarily reducing its own profit margins.

The $3.47 promotional price sat roughly 50 cents below the Pennsylvania statewide average.

It also undercut the $3.79 national AAA average reported on the launch date, though regional prices began fluctuating following newly announced U.

S. military strikes.

Prior to the rollout, President Trump publicly urged gas retailers to lower prices toward $2.50 per gallon following drops in crude oil futures.

He warned of potential federal investigations into companies engaged in alleged price gouging.

Customer Reactions

The White House promoted the initiative by sharing a video of motorists expressing gratitude for the temporary economic relief at the pump.

"Right now, we're in a difficult time in this world, but it's nice to see some stability that we can enjoy," said an unidentified customer in the video.
