fell 39% in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, while domestic consumption continues to drop.

Industry observers note that public perception and long-term reputation present significant financial hurdles even if current crops escape severe direct damage.

"The big problem in terms of financial damage is that three years down the line, when these red wines are released, people are gonna remember … that the whole place caught on fire," said Isle.
