Neighboring firm Van der Jagt Groep, which deploys 20 service vans and heavy machinery daily, faces larger disruption.
Sales manager Erik Koelewijn said they created a temporary secondary depot and moved heavy equipment to Zeeland to mitigate delays.
"While many of those costs are not covered by the compensation scheme. But we do everything we can to accommodate our customers and staff.
As an entrepreneur, you also have to take responsibility yourself," Koelewijn said. He also expressed concern about emergency access on the main detour along the N210 to Bergambacht.
"The N210 to Bergambacht will soon be the only serious route. If an accident happens there, we are trapped like rats.
Emergency services will also suffer from that," he said.

Dylan Vuik of Vuik Logistics in Lekkerkerk noted that his firm must hire additional staff and dispatch an extra truck to maintain service levels in Rotterdam during the closure.
