"Kylie recorded her wonderful voice on it and finally the song felt complete," Lightbody added.

"From the minute she recorded her vocals we knew, to properly honour Kylie and the song, it needed to have a life on its own."

The pop icon expressed her immediate interest upon learning that a demo bearing her name existed within the band's archive.

"The story behind this song was irresistible… Hearing there was a demo called Kylie that had been living in the Snow Patrol archives was a complete surprise," Minogue said.

"Gary is such a brilliant songwriter, so to be invited into the band's world is a total honour."

New Partnership with BMG

The band expressed praise for their new record label following the formal confirmation of their international contract. "We are delighted to be working with BMG.

We've known Alistair and his team for a long time and he and everyone at the label have always been enthusiastic supporters and champions of music and creativity," Snow Patrol said.

Label executives emphasized their commitment to long-term artist partnerships.

Alistair Norbury, President of UK, Continental Europe and APAC at BMG, stated: "Snow Patrol are one of the great songwriting bands of their generation.

There's a rare consistency to their work – songs built on emotional honesty that continue to resonate around the world."
